We decided to enroll Bentley in Puppy Kindergarten because... Why not? He has a lot to learn and so do we. We figured this is a great way to get him socialized and learn lots of good mannerisms and even some tricks.
I worked with Bentley last night while Hank watched, so I can't wait for it to be the other way around next week : ) There are four other puppies in Bentley's class, Radar, Beau, Carter and Penny. Bentley wasn't the best in the class, but he certainly wasn't the worst.
My favorite part of last night was when it came time to take each puppy off of their leash so they could all play together without us interfering. As soon as we unclipped Bentley's leash he sprinted past all of the puppies towards the communal water bowl and drank the entire thing. He didn't care about any other puppies until he had to, when the trainer took the water bowl away from him. I can't blame him - It's hot here in North Carolina.
I can't wait to see how much he learns. The trainer said you'll see a world of difference from the first class to the last class, in all of the puppies, and we're looking forward to it. Go B!
