Handsome Guy + Pretty Girl

My favorite faces sold out so fast yesterday in Furbish Studio's Sally King Benedict shop that I took to painting last night and made some of my own. The best part, it was so. much. fun. Meet handsome guy and pretty girl, now available in my Etsy shop.

These abstract and colorful faces would certainly look their finest in white frames with white mattes... Michael's is calling! A little spunk and whimsy can brighten a day.

This is Germany

The peak of my trip was sitting so comfortably in a chair at the front of the M.S. Amadeus Diamond. I was curled up in an oversized sweater, cruising beneath Carolina blue skies. The sun kissed my face as the ship whisked through the river. I was traveling through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I passed castles after castles, after historic towns and plush vineyards. It was like nothing I had ever seen. The landscape was dramatic, and I was in complete and serene bliss. Then, a waiter offered a glass of champagne, and I thought, does it get any better than this... Here are some of my favorite photos from Wurzburg to Bernkastel.

Picnic

Before I left for Germany, I wanted to have an awesome last weekend in North Carolina doing some of my favorite things with Hank and Bentley. We made our way to Motorco in Durham on Sunday to grab food from the best food truck in the area, I think, Kokyu

We took our picnic to Duke Gardens. I love Duke Gardens, and on a prettiest day like that Sunday was, you have to drag me out of there. I think it's the closest thing in our area to a Central Park in regards to their huge field where everyone sets up to chill and enjoy the day.

EATS starring DUCKFAT TOTS... Yum!

My people.

Happy day!

This day left me smiling all the way to Germany.

100 Percent Me

Taking pilates during my lunch break today was the best. idea. ever. I found my center, relaxed and was able to come back to work ready to zip on through the day.

Speaking of finding my center, which to me is being at peace with all that you are in that very moment, if there was ever a picture that was 100 percent how I see myself, this is it.

Viel Gluck

From Germany to Chicago, October has been quite the adventure thus far. I had a blast cruising the Rhine, Moselle and Main Rivers for work (!!!). Then I got to see Hank cross the finish line of the Chicago Marathon after 26.2 miles. It was his first marathon of any sort, and he finished in 3:36. It was an inspirational day, and I'm still so proud.

I learned 'viel gluck' in German means good luck. I wish you all of the best in luck and laughter this weekend. Enjoy, and I'll be here with a look back on my latest happenings next week.
