Crunkleton Couples

... Off to shower number one that was over the weekend. I love showers. I enjoy all of the enthusiasm surrounding them, and I can't help but be excited when I'm attending one. I love seeing people so darn happy and all smiles.

One of my favorite hostesses, Laura, co-hosted this shower, and it turned out lovely. Laura helped make everything look great for our wedding reception, so I knew this couple's shower was going to be a good time.

The shower was held at a fabulous bar, and the atmosphere was awesome. Here's Hank at the entryway table where we wrote a love note with advice. I love the flowers and polka dots.

Mmm... This drink is up there as one of my favorites. It's an Elderflower Sour.

We snacked on fruit, pigs in a blanket, spinach dip with pita chips and bread, pimento cheese with crackers, bruschetta on toast, vegetables and Cuban sandwiches. Cupcakes were served, and I can rarely say no to a cupcake - They're the best.

After an hour or so of drinks, appetizers and mingling it was time for shower gifts.

Here's the happy couple opening our gift - I think it's so fun to watch present opening.

The favors made it all even cuter! The ladies took home a bag of Mary Kay products (since the happy couple basically met at a Mary Kay party), and the guys took home beer. One of their motifs for their wedding is a banjo, so there were cute banjo chocolates too.

I loved this couple's shower at a bar - very cool. It's perfect for the guys too!
