Summertime

Days like today make me realize how much I cannot even wait for summer - it's by far my favorite season. What I love most about summer are long weekends at the lake, playing outside, the beach and really all things related to water. I have been a lifeguard, taught swim lessons, SCUBA certified... I. love. water. I have high expectations for this summer in particular because it's the first summer in the new house.

I received this great outdoor lamp for Christmas, but it just needs some awesome back balcony outdoor furniture to go with it.

I love this outdoor daybed. Except I want it in a dark brown wicker with red cushions... Similar to this color scheme, but of course without the umbrella.

This set is cute too (without the included pillows), but it just may be too practical.

I would consider it with these brown zebra pillows though.

This way I can enjoy summer on the back balcony overlooking the pond... on the above fun furniture, with a great drink and even better company!

I am also excited about my first summer being in walking distance to a pool. It's been awhile... The last time I could walk to a pool was in middle school. I am in love with the neighborhood pool. It has a fun pool, an adult pool, but most importantly, it has this slide.

I went down this slide so many times last summer that I am already having withdrawals (we had some guest passes). I love when Hank slides down most because he soaks all lawn chairs to the right. I cannot wait for a hot day this summer when someone is actually sitting in them. I like to think they will appreciate the cool down!

Lastly, this summer I would like to have a pool party. The theme is flamingos.
