Carolina's homecoming weekend kicked-off Friday night at The Back Bar at Top of the Hill for an Alumni Milestone Mixer. The lead singer of one of my favorite groups, The High and Mighties, is a bartender there. He gave me their new CD, which features one of my favorite songs I have mentioned here before - Chapel on the Hill (I like Candy Jar too, but really, I like them all). They'll be playing around town again soon, and I'm looking forward to it.
A man was wearing a Pinkberry fleece. I of course asked if he liked Pinkberry, because I love it. Him and his wife were kind of like, yeah we do... Then the wife said they were the ones opening the Pinkberry franchises in North Carolina. I freaked out! Carolina alums do great things. It was mentioned there have been meetings scoping out sites at Cameron Village, Southpoint and even Franklin Street for a location in this area. That would make my year. I got a business card for some free Pinkberry - what a nice guy!
The theme of homecoming this year was Bury William & Mary... and we did!
Then it was off to the official post-game party at The Carolina Inn. The band, Spare Change, kept us dancing all night!
Go Heels!
