Neal's Deli

I'm a foodie. So I was of course completely excited when Our State came out with their '100 Foods You Must Eat in North Carolina's 100 Counties' feature.

P.S. If you live in North Carolina, and you are not currently an Our State subscriber, you are missing out, and you should probably become one.

I love trying new, locally owned, unique only to the area restaurants. I was heading to lunch with a friend to see the new (and amazing) renovations to her house. We drove by Neal's Deli in Carrboro, and I said, "We have to eat here it's in Our State." I had heard many good things about it before this feature story came out, but driving right by it made the perfect opportunity present - and it's one of my friend's favorites.

P.S.S. I'm jealous she gets to walk to all places in Carrboro. That's the goal for the next move - to live in walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping.

Neal's is the perfect place for a tasty sandwich. I ordered the italian sub combo, and I got one delicious sub, some unique-to-me crawtator chips, and an ice cold diet coke. It was summer delicious.

On to the next 99 counties...
