This weekend was a success. Not only did I have a fun time and good eats with the fam & Hank, but I also found two things that I thought I would never, EVER see again.
1) In 5th grade I wrote a story that won Young Authors. It's about a giraffe. I have always wanted to write a children's book. Since this story was a success, I have always thought it was the perfect children's story to write and illustrate. After searching on Saturday, in a massive storage unit, through boxes upon boxes, I found this one single sheet of paper. It took a lot less time than expected. I felt lucky. Now I will be very busy on this project, and I'm cool with that.
2) My mom has the most amazing peppermill. It makes peppering your eggs and whatever else needs to be peppered 342423 times more fun. On another note, I have always believed in the power of branding. I think it's great if you have a cute little tag on your work. Hooray for you. Have you thought about when the tag is removed and discarded? This artist did not. There was no identifying factor on this peppermill. Who made you? Where did you come from? Hank and I have always, ALWAYS wanted to know (for the last two years). Well I was looking through my parent's buffet drawers, and there was the peppermill tag!! Enough said.
