Race Day Eve

Many of the restaurants in the park offered pre-race specials for dinner, serving up dishes such as pasta alfredo with bread so runners could start carbing up! This is what I had for dinner:

... With water of course! The rest of the day was meant to take it easy & relax. This included the finalizing of the outfits. We started our race plan with long sleeves and cropped pants, but with lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s, we ended up with short sleeves and skirts... Ta-da!

We attached our bibs with safety pins (provided at the expo), as well as laced up our DTAGS, and figured out hairpieces... Tiaras!

It was great to have all of these items ready to go the night before. We were also given a clear bag that could be filled and checked, and I would highly recommend this option. This way you have your phone, camera and autograph book right after you finish the race... All essentials! These seemed to be highly guarded as well, and you can only take your bag if you have the bib number to match. Disney thinks of it all!

At night I snacked on a banana and a blueberry muffin with a side of Powerade. This all worked out quite nicely for me! With a 3AM wake-up call, our goal was to be in bed by 8PM. I think we ended up asleep by 11PM and really that was okay.
