EAT PRAY LOVE

This book did not hold my attention. I made it halfway through, and then I walked out on it.

Since Julia Roberts was cast as the lead in this movie, I of course had to see it. While it was long in some parts, I overall really, really enjoyed it. It made me laugh, and it made me cry. When I got home, I flipped through my copy of the book, and I noticed of what I did read, I highlighted a lot of it. I plan to give the book a try again.

"Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it."

On another note, this song is always played during Zumba:

I was so happy when I heard it in Eat, Love, Pray - It made it too easy for me to find the name of the song and the artist,

Samba da Bencao - Bebel Gilberto (it's on itunes)

I love how this song makes me feel. Here is the translation of the first three lines (to get the gist of the theme of this song):

It's better to be happy than sad
Happiness is the best thing there is
It is like a light in the heart
