You recently saw my sweet friend Kathleen in this post. Well, on Thursday evening she texted me, "My mom is in the ER… Something is wrong with her." We had no idea in that very moment that her mom would be airlifted that evening and heading into surgery the next morning to have a brain tumor the size of two golf balls removed. News like that shakes you to the core. I've looked up to Nancy as my second mom my whole life, and the mom of one of my nearest and dearest, whew, that's all I could think about this past weekend and every moment since. I had to work most of the weekend, but as soon as I had the chance, I was up to see Kathleen and her family in Charlotte on Sunday.
While Nancy continues to improve each day, I hope you can take a second to send a prayer or kind thought her way. Moms are certainly special people, and we are blessed each day to have them. Tell your mom you love her today, and give her a hug if you can. You can keep up with Nancy's progress written by her sweet angel daughters here. Love to you all!
